Twenty One Toys is looking for a versatile and empathic communicator to help us implement our content strategy. The ideal candidate has experience creating both written and visual content to engage specific audiences across a variety of channels.

Passion for learning is essential. In addition to learning how to speak in our brand voice, your job will be to continually apply what you discover about the content, channels, and communication strategies that resonate with our different customer segments.

Requirements you’ll need:

  • Ontario residency
  • 2+ years experience in communications, involving digital content creation, copy writing and social media curation
  • Working knowledge of and access to Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign
  • Examples of engaging writing as well as a visual portfolio showcasing your design skills
  • Passion for our core values (see PDF)
  • Bonus points:

    • If you have experience working with SEO
    • If you own a nice camera

What you’ll be working on specifically:

  • Curating weekly top ups of our Instagram account, based on our social calendar, brand guidelines, and using our visual templates
  • Writing blogs that delight and engage our community, based on our existing backlog of posts and content strategy
  • Working alongside our core team to update website copy, email copy and newsletter copy when applicable

is a multi-award winning toy creation company working out of the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto.

We strive to make creative collaboration the new normal -- to shift established views on play and learning in the lives of the young and old. We are developing a new category of toys that teach Empathy, Failure, Creative Communication, Collaboration, and other core skills necessary for innovation in the 21st century. We develop workshops, training programs, and supplementary resources to explore discussions around our toys.

Our flagship product, the Empathy Toy, is an award-winning blindfolded puzzle game originally designed with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind to bridge the gap between visually impaired students and their sighted classmates. It has since evolved into a learning tool used in thousands of schools, homes, and offices worldwide.
